“My boyfriend proposed on December 12th 2013 and by December 19th we decided that we wanted to get married soon in a low key but memorable way. We immediately thought of Nancy. I emailed her that I wanted her to marry us at a surprise wedding at our New Years Eve party that was only 12 days away! Nancy was immediately on-board. She met with us to get a feel for what type of couple we were and sent us home with homework on what type of ceremony we wanted.

The ceremony blew us away. She combined beautiful traditional verses as well as our unconventional ideas and little stories about us that everyone there could relate to. While it was exciting to have a surprise wedding, the most memorable part was the ceremony. The room was in tears. I was asked by multiple family members to get a copy of the vows because they were so amazing. If I had to do it all over again, I would do it exactly the same way! “My husband and I were married on Valentine’s Day 2014 in Rincon, Puerto Rico. We chose Nancy as our officiant not only because she is my aunt (lucky me!!), but also because we knew she would do an amazing job. And we were not wrong. Because it was a surprise, the only person I discussed my plans with was Nancy and she put my mind at ease and helped me through the process of what I needed to do. The ceremony was on Saint Patrick’s Day and Nancy catered to that with special music and special vows that went along with this special and lucky day. It was a very warm, but yet exciting time, and Nancy put great thought in planning our ceremony. I was pleased with everything Nancy did for us that day.”
